Route
This unique round-the-world circumnavigation is aimed to visit the most beautiful tropical destinations on this planet, some of them world famous windsurfing and kitesurfing spots. The legs are planned such that distances between the destinations are kept short in order to benefit the most from each stay. The meticulously planned route makes also best use of seasonal trade winds, avoiding cyclone periods wherever they may occur and thus guaranteeing a safe cruise.
Activities
Windsurfing and kitesurfing will be on the agenda wherever and whenever possible, the choice and diversity of spots is just limitless. Constant trade winds and warm waters paired with dreamlike scenery will make each session an unforgettable experience.In lack of wind swimming and snorkelling are welcoming alternatives.
Yacht
The yacht is a modern cruise catamaran with 4 large cabins and a spacious saloon, equipped with the latest safety and navigational systems. The deck of the 14 m long and 5 m wide catamaran allows plenty of places to relax and suntan. A powerful dinghy may be used to discover the island when moored and provides security during each surfing session.
Skipper
For such an enterprise sufficient training and experience is essential, the skipper has it both: possessing all German sailing patents and practicing sailing since the age of 10! Added to this are 30 years of windsurfing and 5 years of kitesurfing experience which explains why he’s also called the ‘waterman’.
Weather
Noone knows to predict the weather on the long term. But good weather is guaranteed for most of the times as, except for the Canary Islands and Egypt, the entire route lies in the Tropics where sunny skys and trade winds are predominant. Moreover the route is planned such that rain seasons are avoided.
Participation
In order to allow a high level of comfort on the boat the number of participants is limited to 4 persons. Embarkment or disembarkment may occur at any point of the described route.
